Upstate Franchise Basketball Association (UFBA) and UFBA Ballers Inc. are about more than just basketball... it isn't just about perfecting free throws or executing slam dunks – it's about fostering a passion for the game, teaching resilience in the face of challenges, and promoting a sense of unity among players. Our commitment is to complete the personal growth of all of our players and to help individuals reach their highest potential, focusing on four pillars of development: ATHLETICS, WELLNESS, LEADERSHIP, and ENRICHMENT. We are committed to providing individuals with the best resources and tools so that they will make a positive contribution to their communities and ultimately, society.

UFBA recognizes that sports may be only one facet of a young person’s life, but our mission is to become a memorable and highly impactful part of their growth and development. We do so by providing a healthy, safe, and conducive environment where individuals become strong leaders with integrity on - and off - the court. In turn, this will allow them to build character and have the confidence needed to improve their basketball and - more importanltly - life skills, enjoying the camaraderie of their fellow teammates and coaches as well as the thrill of playing competitive basketball. UFBA offers a platform where young talents flourish, friendships thrive, and the love for the sport endures for years to come.

As an organization, our emphasis is not only on basketball. Offering basketball and rugby in Rochester, volleyball in Albany, and our new Court of Leaders athletic business program, these are a means to make a difference in the development of Rochester's youth. Our primary focus is to open opportunities through education, life skills training, and mentorship so that our student athletes can experience not only a variety of sports, but prepare for life with the highest level of competition to foster success. We do so by offering a positive environment with top-notch coaches and training that stress fundamentals through individual and team workouts, tutoring in education, and mentoring programs such as mental health awareness, college preparation, and community leadership along with our esteemed community partners, among other things.

Our players go on to do great things, and have become D1 and NBA players, professional players overseas, professional coaches, and community leaders. We take great pride in the UFBA legacy and look forward to continuing this for many years to come.
