Upstate Franchise Basketball Association (UFBA) is more than just basketball… it isn't just about perfecting free throws or executing slam dunks – it's about fostering a passion for the game, teaching resilience in the face of challenges, and promoting a sense of unity among players. Our primary focus is to open opportunities to our youth through education, life skills, and mentorship so that our student athletes can experience not only a variety of sports, but prepared for life with the highest level of competition to foster success. We are committed to providing individuals with the best resources and tools so that they will make a positive contribution to their communities and ultimately, society.

UFBA recognizes that sports may be only one facet of a young person’s life, but our mission is to become a memorable and highly impactful part of their growth and development. We do so by providing a healthy, safe, and conducive environment where players will become strong leaders on - and off - the court. In turn, this will allow them to build character and have the confidence needed in their athletic abilities to improve their basketball and life skills, enjoying the camaraderie of their fellow teammates and coaches as well as the thrill of playing competitive basketball. UFBA offers a platform where young talents flourish, friendships thrive, and the love for the sport endures for years to come.

As an organization, our emphasis is not only on basketball. Offering basketball and rugby, these sports are but a means to make a difference in the growth and development of a player. Our commitment is to complete the personal growth of all of our players and to help players reach their highest potential. We do so by offering a positive team environment with top-notch coaches and training that stress fundamentals through individual and team workouts, tutoring in education, and mentoring programs such as mental health awareness, college preparation, and community leadership along with our esteemed community partners. Our players go on to do great things, and have become NBA players, professional players overseas, professional coaches, and community leaders. We take great pride in the UFBA legacy and look forward to continuing this for many years to come.
